Gonsil Chetty is vibrant preacher and dynamic leader. He has been in ministry for 34 years. He provides apostolic oversight and serves as the senior minister in Canaan Ministries - Merebank in Durban South Africa. He serves as the vice moderator of Canaan Ministries which has four branches in South Africa. Gonsil is also the chairperson of the South Basin Fellowship of Christian Ministers which is a body gathering approximately 200 pastors every six weeks for resourcing and empowering them to better serve the body of Christ. He is deeply committed to the spiritual health of his city and nation and serves on the board of City Connect, which is a body that connects city pastors in bringing unity and oneness through relationship development.
Gonsil has a passion for soul winning and traverses the world to reach the lost with the gospel of Christ. His Apostolic grace finds him mentoring pastors and leaders through spiritual fathering.
He has been married to Dawn Chetty for 39 years. Together they have two children and has six grandchildren. His children and their spouses serve under his leadership and are an integral part of the ministry.
